Joynoelle and her creations
Our American Sewing Guild chapter has the opportunity of a lifetime! Join us at an informal gathering at the workspace of Joy Teiken where she creates her line, Joynoëlle. She will share her work process and we can see how a designer’s workspace functions.
From an interview with Mpls/St.Paul Magazine:
“I see myself as a mentor to those who want to explore fashion and clothing as sculpture,” says Teiken, who has crafted custom ready-to-wear and bridal garments for 20 years now. She splashed onto the local fashion scene in 2003 with her independent fashion line, Joynoelle, and has been churning out innovative hand-made, hand sewn works ever since.
“I love when someone learns something new and gets excited about the project,” Teiken says, “I’m getting older and I just want to meaningfully give my knowledge to others, to share it.”
Since there is on street parking, we encourage carpooling. Reserve your $10 tickets today. Attendance is limited to 20 and all attendees must present proof of Covid vaccinations.
