Applique all occasion cards

Location: Salem Covenant Church 2655 5th St. NW, New Brighton, 55112

·     Park and enter on the west side of the building. Use the doors to the right of the main entrance.
      Take the first left as you enter the building into the back of the fellowship hall. There are no stairs to haul your machine.

Cost to cover supplies and room rental: $5.00

Provided:

·         Snack

·         Cutting mat

·         Iron

·        Card stock and fabric to make two cards

 Supply list

·         Fabric marking pen.

·         Sewing machine with zig zag. Other decorative stitches are helpful.(Remember your cord and pedal.)

·         Extension cord.

·         Navy, green, bright pink, and charcoal thread. You can bring regular thread or decorative thread, such as Sulky brand.

·         Cream bobbin thread.

·         Basic sewing kit with scissors, straight pins, and a seam ripper.

·         Glue stick.

·         Optional: Rotary cutter.

Optional supplies to make more than two cards

·         Pack of blank cards and a pack of envelopes (Available at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.) I suggest a neutral color for the cards. Both usually come in packs of 12.

·         Any light to medium fusible interfacing.

·         A variety of fabrics. Small prints work well. To save time in class, consider fusing interfacing to some 8x10 inch pieces of fabric ahead of time.

·         Thread to coordinate with your fabrics.
