Annual Meeting & Election

The Annual Meeting and Election is set!
Saturday, November 5, 2022
9:30 am-2 pm
Christ Episcopal Church, 7305 Afton Road, Woodbury, MN  55125

It should be a great day! It will include:

  • Several short make it/take it classes

  • Catered luncheon featuring a BarBQ menu including:
    Pulled pork/sliced beef brisket
    Baked potato casserole
    Caesar salad
    Bacon & onion green beans
    Dinner roll
    Variety of sauces/pickles/onions
Dessert of cheese cake/pecan pie or similar

  • If any ASG member has additional questions regarding the menu,  here is a link to Dickey’s nutritional page:  https://www.dickeys.com/company/nutritional. You may look up the food item on the list and get a breakout of allergens listed for that food item. Please note we are ordering the Caesar Salad with no croutons.  We have been assured that our meal will be gluten free with what we have ordered.  There will be at least 1 gluten free option for dessert. If any member has a severe allergy, it is recommended they bring their own lunch.  There will be a refund of $6.00 to any member who feels they must bring their own lunch.

  • Speaker Kristen McCoy, owner of RETHINK Tailoring & Sewing Lounge in Minneapolis. Her business empowers individuals to sew and repair their own wardrobes through classes. They sell their designs in their south Minneapolis shop which are upcycled from damaged clothing and unwanted materials. Mending and alterations are services available as well. She started her business the day before Covid shutdowns. She has tales to tell!

  • Voting and “State of the Chapter” presentations

Participate in our fabric swap so you can rid your sewing studio of unwanted fabric and bring home some new possibilities! Our chapter has received a HUGE donation (boxes and boxes!) of fabric that will be opened for the swap-silks, woolens, quilting, fleece, etc.

Lunch is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Our ASG chapter will pick up the additional cost. Please purchase your ticket below. Consider bringing a friend-the classes, speaker, food and fabric swap will be well worth the price! There will be several break-out sessions with members demonstrating quick, creative sewing projects. We will also have our fabric swap so be sure to bring that fabric you thought was so fabulous once - but just can’t get into it anymore.  You might go home with a treasure. See you there!
