Seamlines from the President-Feb. 2022

As ASG members we have weathered a couple tough years, we may have been down but we were never out - maintaining contact through zoom and outdoor meetings.  It feels great to have started meeting in person.

I decided to run for your President after attending a marketing and branding training .  Three ASG members were mentored by 5 corporate executives from the world of marketing, customer care and project managements.  We taught them about our organization and they taught us ideas to grow and improve our offerings to members.

You have already seen the amazing revamped website for our organization.  We have reorganized the leadership (CAB) group to increase productivity and generate new ideas.

We have begun preparing for new classes and events to come out during the year.  Fashion Show luncheon is in full planning mode, a field trip to Faribault Woolen Mills, full day shop hops, and lectures by professional designers are just a few items we have in the works.

Our hope is that as we add various activities we can find something for all the diverse interests of our group members.  But we are going to need help.  My ask of everyone is to step in and offer to help with just one more activity than you have in the past.  Many hands make light works and who is more fun to spend time with that our fellow sewing enthusiasts.  Please feel free to contact me for any ideas or offers of help you may have.
