Pattern Fitting Class

with Master Patternmaker Linda Buscis

Lynda spent her 40 year career in the world of pattern fitting.  Starting out in NYC as a patternmaker for manufacturers, ultimately owning a pattern service for the garment center before shifting to developing private label clothing for retailers.  Some of her clients included Marc Jacobs, TSE Cashmere, J.McLaughlin, and Armani AX.  She was the Director of Technical Design for Lane Bryant, Talbots and in her most role with Christopher and Banks, from where she recently retired.

What Lynda will demonstrate in this seminar is correcting common fit issues for tops and bottoms.

Participants will leave with a sense of how to approach correcting patterns to deal with their personal figures.

Please bring a muslin, leaving raw edges, unfinished necklines, unhemmed, single needle stitched only.  (No seam finishes for easy deconstruction for diagnosis) along with the pattern used to make the muslin.

Also bring: marking pencil, scissors, scotch tape, needle and thread, pins, ruler, tape measure.
